We signed with Bigg Homes to build us a house in Saratoga Springs. It is a beautiful two story home with a basement and the land is overlooking a beautiful field that the church owns. You can also see the Utah Lake and the beautiful mountains. The house has a big window so the view will be gorgeous. The house isn't built yet so it will take a couple months to build.

Jeff is thinking of building a house here in Utah. I would love to stay in Utah because a lot of my family live here and I enjoy getting together with them. The kids enjoy their schools and are making lots of friends. We started to build a house in Alabama with a basement finished. Jeff wants to build a house here in Saratoga Springs, Utah and we have visited many model homes in the area and we found a house plan that works for our family. It is a two story plan with a basement and four bedrooms on the top floor and one is a loft area that we will make into a bedroom. It has huge windows in the living room area and a very tall ceiling. It is a nice home and the prices in Utah are so great that we might miss the chance of buying a house here if we wait because the prices will probably skyrocket again in the future. It will be an investment for us as well. Jeff wants to either pay off what we have on the basement and build it himself later on or build it now. We kind of have a lot to think about and hopefully don't get into too much debt! With the Lords help we will make the right decision.

I just got back from a Young Women achievement night at the church and it was so wonderful! Lauren is a Mia-Maid and Heather will be a Beehive this month. Lauren looked so pretty in her sparkly red dress. They had twinkle Christmas lights and a very nice layered white cake and pictures of the ten virgins. The girls sang some nice songs and then they did a skit where they talked about the ten virgins (parable in the bible) and having your lamp filled with oil. Each of the girls held a candle that was lit and some girls that said they did things that didn't prepare them for Christ second comming had their light darkened. It made you think how important it is each day to fill our lamps with oil and to do good things every day to prepare for Christ second comming. I'm so thankful for the church and the young women program that teaches us to do good and to stay virtuous in thought and action. The personal progress helps strengthen your faith in and testimony of Jesus Christ and to learn his teachings and regularly apply them to our lives. A quote from a prophet of the Lord "Give me a young woman who loves home and family, who reads and ponders the scriptures daily, who has a burning testimony of the Book of Mormon. Give me a young woman who faithfully attends her church meetings, who is a seminary graduate, who has earned her Young Womanhood Recognition Award and wears it with pride! Give me a young woman who is virtuous and who has maintained her personal purity, who will not settle less than a temple marriage, and I will give you a young woman who will perform miracles for the Lord now and throughout eternity." President Ezra Taft Benson 1985-94-To the young women of the church.

Hello. Today has been a kind of layed back day for me. I woke up and did some laundry and cleaned up a bit. Laundry seems to be a never ending job for me ( I just don't like when I find clothes that I remembered washing and the kids haven't worn yet). I went out and took some Avon books to some houses in the neighborhood and remembered that I had bought some chocolate truffles for Valentine's Day from Deseret Book store. I came home and got them out and ate them and shared some with Trey and Lauren. I felt guilty afterwards because I'm trying to lose some weight and I'm not working on the eating part. Holidays are hard sometimes!! I also went to the Dollar Tree and bought a few items there. The kids are out of school for the holiday so Heather went to her friend's house for a little while and Lauren and Trey are doing different things around the house. It's kind of a rainy and dreary day today.

Hello today is Sunday February 14th, Valentine's Day! I went to church with my husband and all of my kids weren't feeling good so they stayed at home. The talks were really good in sacrament meeting. One of the talks was on the power of prayer and the other person spoke about his mission in New York state and the wonderful experiences being near so many church historical sights like the sacred grove, etc. In primary the lesson was on the savior's birth. The teacher had the children dress up as wise men and wrapped the baby Jesus in a blanket. It was good to hear the Christmas story again. When we came home from church we made a steak dinner for Valentine's Day. It was good the only sad part was Trey accidentally spilled his drink and broke a glass that shattered on the table and some small glass pieces we found everywhere. It was still a nice meal and we cleaned up and watched little house on the prairie. I have loved that show since I was a little girl and still enjoy watching the episodes every day. Have a wonderful Sunday!

I can't seem to get my pictures taken and put on the computer so I will have to figure that out soon so I can put pictures up again. I took pictures of the flowers but no picture, sorry.
Got some pretty flowers for Valentine's Day from Jeff and a box of chocolates today. A friend of Heather's spent the night last night. We went to a park in Pleasant Grove today and we stopped at Animal Ark to look at the new puppies where we bought our pug. I walked for some exercise today while the kids played at the park. Cleaning the house is always part of my Saturday's so I did some of that as well. I have overwhelming sleepiness during the day so I took a short nap. I thought it might be related to sleep apnea so I had myself checked but that was o.k. so I'm not sure what is causing my sleepiness during the day. Valentine's Day is tomorrow so I bought some steaks to cook and potatoes for dinner tomorrow. I watched the speed skating today and enjoyed to see the Netherlands win. The Winter Olympics are fun to watch and the opening ceremony was wonderful.

Today has been a good day. I have been eating a lot lately. We went out to eat twice yesterday, I went to I hop for lunch and then we ate at Cracker Barrel for dinner. It is a cozy restaraunt with a store in the front and a cozy fireplace going while you eat. I had catfish and mashed potatoes. I wanted the blackberry cobbler for dessert but I was too full to eat it so I made some for dessert tonight with ice cream. I made a homemade spaghetti sauce and we had spaghetti for dinner. I went on a short walk around our neighborhood today and the hills are pretty steep around here so I get my workout. I need to make sure I work out more because the eating is starting to show on me. Our cars have been acting up again. Jeff couldn't get the car started on the way home so he caught a ride with a friend. We will have to take our honda in to get it checked again.

Today I ran errands with Jeff. He is in the Army Reserves and is currently unemployed so he went to several places today to talk to people about going full time in the army. I'm not sure what will happen but I'll keep everyone posted.
