Today has been a good day. I woke up early and cleaned a lot of my house. I then took the green honda (it was my mom's car and then Diane's and now mine) and washed it good inside and out. I walked a little bit for exercise but every step hurts me because I have plantar fasicitas and I will probably go bike riding for exercise soon. I picked Heather up from her friends house and then came home to get ready to go to the Young Women's Confrence in Salt Lake City, Utah. We met with some good friends from Logan, Utah and ate some good mexican food and then headed over to the confrence center. I loved all of the talks and the music. I'm looking forward to General Confrence soon. After confrence, we had a snack at Cold Stone. It was a good night with my two girls, Lauren and Heather. Jeff stayed home with Trey at the house.
I have been studying for the Praxis test that I need to take the end of April to be able to teach in Utah. Jeff has put in for several jobs here in Utah and we are hoping to hear from them soon. If nothing works out for us here in Utah we will be heading back to our home in Alabama because we have land that is paid for there and a basement that is started. The children love their schools here and friends and they would love to stay here if everything works out. I also love it here because my family is so close. I have parents in Logan, Utah and brothers and sisters in Sandy, Provo and Draper Utah. I'm so thankful for the church and the strength it gives me in my life. The church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the church I belong to and I love it with all my heart and hope to be an eternal family one day. :) :) I love my parents, brothers and sisters, uncles, aunts, and cousins and the wonderful examples they have been to me. I am a Republican and also love my country and the Constitution of the United States. I hate to see what is going on right now in our government. My husband graduated from BYU in Political Science and loves politics so we keep up with everything that is going on.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!!! Today has been a good day. I actually didn't have any jobs today so I went on a long walk and then went to the Orem library for a little while. It turned out to be a nice sunshinny day today. It suppose to be nice all week I believe. Jeff put in for some military jobs, so hopefully we will hear good news about that. It's kind of crazy right now since Jeff has been out of work for over a year now. Hopefully we will have some good things happen for us and our family. His work situation depends on where we will be living, so it's kind of important. I try to think positive and have faith and work hard at what I am doing and things will work out for us.

I just finished writing a long paragraph and found out it went to my daughter's blog instead of mine. This morning I looked on the Kelly website to find a job and two jobs were posted for substituting. Mountainville Academy is a charter school in Alpine, Utah (a school I worked at last year as a fourth grade teacher's aide) I went there Monday and today, so it has been a good week. The class seemed to like me and at the end of the day a cute red haired girl asked me to meet her brother that was in kindergarten so I met him and he had the same red hair as his sister. She said she liked me as a teacher, so that made me feel good. Jeff and I have been looking at some more houses in the neighborhood and also land that is for sale. We found some land that we really like that overlooks the gorgeous view of the lake; we are thinking of purchasing the land and building a house there near the same area where we live now. The wind was bitterly cold today and last night I heard it rumble on the windows of our house, it can get pretty windy here. It is suppose to snow and rain this weekend so winter is still lingering on for a while. My mom is in town with my sister Diane and her new baby Kate Donna Owen. My mom's name is Donna so Diane used the name Donna in her middle name. My dad is an amazing man and is working on a project that he has been doing for some time. My parents are great examples to me and I really feel blessed to have such wonderful parents.

We signed with Bigg Homes to build us a house in Saratoga Springs. It is a beautiful two story home with a basement and the land is overlooking a beautiful field that the church owns. You can also see the Utah Lake and the beautiful mountains. The house has a big window so the view will be gorgeous. The house isn't built yet so it will take a couple months to build.

Jeff is thinking of building a house here in Utah. I would love to stay in Utah because a lot of my family live here and I enjoy getting together with them. The kids enjoy their schools and are making lots of friends. We started to build a house in Alabama with a basement finished. Jeff wants to build a house here in Saratoga Springs, Utah and we have visited many model homes in the area and we found a house plan that works for our family. It is a two story plan with a basement and four bedrooms on the top floor and one is a loft area that we will make into a bedroom. It has huge windows in the living room area and a very tall ceiling. It is a nice home and the prices in Utah are so great that we might miss the chance of buying a house here if we wait because the prices will probably skyrocket again in the future. It will be an investment for us as well. Jeff wants to either pay off what we have on the basement and build it himself later on or build it now. We kind of have a lot to think about and hopefully don't get into too much debt! With the Lords help we will make the right decision.

I just got back from a Young Women achievement night at the church and it was so wonderful! Lauren is a Mia-Maid and Heather will be a Beehive this month. Lauren looked so pretty in her sparkly red dress. They had twinkle Christmas lights and a very nice layered white cake and pictures of the ten virgins. The girls sang some nice songs and then they did a skit where they talked about the ten virgins (parable in the bible) and having your lamp filled with oil. Each of the girls held a candle that was lit and some girls that said they did things that didn't prepare them for Christ second comming had their light darkened. It made you think how important it is each day to fill our lamps with oil and to do good things every day to prepare for Christ second comming. I'm so thankful for the church and the young women program that teaches us to do good and to stay virtuous in thought and action. The personal progress helps strengthen your faith in and testimony of Jesus Christ and to learn his teachings and regularly apply them to our lives. A quote from a prophet of the Lord "Give me a young woman who loves home and family, who reads and ponders the scriptures daily, who has a burning testimony of the Book of Mormon. Give me a young woman who faithfully attends her church meetings, who is a seminary graduate, who has earned her Young Womanhood Recognition Award and wears it with pride! Give me a young woman who is virtuous and who has maintained her personal purity, who will not settle less than a temple marriage, and I will give you a young woman who will perform miracles for the Lord now and throughout eternity." President Ezra Taft Benson 1985-94-To the young women of the church.
